Kerrie's Blog: I've Been Tagged!

I've Been Tagged!

Gerry Michaels just tagged me in what is a really cool and fun post.  This is a way for us to get to know one another on a more personal level.  I am game and hope my fellow AR friends whom I have tagged will play along as well!

What is YOUR Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) is 2011. I'd also like to know more about you, and your background, what is it about you that makes this BHAG so important?  What experiences are you bringing with you into 2011 that will make this BHAG work? So I'm asking you to please share 5 or 6 things about yourself, and then tag.

(please paste the above paragraph into your post as you are tagged)

1.  In fourth grade I won the spelling bee.  It's my claim to fame and probably one of the reasons why I get peeved when there, they're, their, your, you're, lose, loose and separate are used or spelled incorrectly.

2.  I was born in Bay Shore, NY and I've always been an avid Yankees fan.  They came to Seattle this summer and I got not one but two balls from the bullpen coach.  My debit card has a Yankees symbol on it and I get a ton of $%@# for it but I LOVE them!

3. My favorite movie of all time is Beaches; I can recite the whole movie word for word.  I've seen it over 100 times (no joke) and it's gets me every single time....right when Bette begins "Wind Beneath My Wings" the tears start coming.

4.  One of my goals for 2011 is to use my filter and think before shouting out the first thing that comes to mind.  This is hard for me as I'm the middle of 3 girls and the loudest one usually wins.

5. You will see more informal blog posts from me this year.  I am moved by the stories shared here and hope to do the same.

Ray Vernon, Leah Stern and June Tassillo consider yourselves tagged!

Wow, this sounds really, really fun!  What a great idea.  This will be better than just reading each others profiles.

Kerrie... how funny... I was just thinking about doing this the other day... before you came on board to AR, they were called meme's... search it.. I have done like 4 or 5 of these... and yes, it is a great way to get to know someone.. I like this one, because it's also about goals for 2011... I didn't know you were born in NY, but I knew you had favored a terrible baseball team that you were a Yankees fan...  here is my 3rd meme.  I got slimed

Glad to know that someone out there still cares about spelling.  I had an English teacher in high school that would smack us with a ruler if we misspelled or used improper grammar.  It's ingrained in me too, though I don't have the distinction of being a Spelling Bee champ.

Kerrie...WE have something in common, you took first place in the spelling bee and I took last!  I am sure it shows also.

Jeff mentioned the MeMe's that went around over a year ago.  Simalar, but they were fun...for a while!

Kerrie - It was great reading a little something about you. I gotta say I am glad it was you and not me that watched Beaches 100 times though. Don't get me wrong, its a great movie, but even the most entertaining movie of all time would drive me nuts after about the ninth time!  :)

I was also a spelling bee champion, except in sixth grade!

Kerrie, through out my entire life, all 35 years of it, I have been hampered by a mouth that utters before my mind catches up. It has gotten me into so much trouble. And aside from Beaches, you didn't spill anything I didn't know already, and thankfully you left a few things out ;o))

LOL, I hate it when people write "your welcome."
And looks like we traded west and east coasts you and me. When mariners and yankees play, my wife and I have a battle of the teams. I can't help it. I have awesome memories of going to mariners games as a boy in the kingdome with my Dad. love a good baseball game to this day.
