Kerrie's Blog: Arrrriiiiibbbbbaaaaaa!

I was without my AR family for a whole Snooki would say "Waaaahhhhh".

Seattle isn't as sunny as you all may think and the long winters can be hard so a group of us decided to get outta town and head to Puerto Vallarta for a week.  I loaded up with SPF 110, the final installment in the Stieg Larsson trilogy loaded on my Nook and a few Pesos.  We were immediately greeted by the warm air and sunshine.  The hotel was ocean side with a sliding glass door we could keep open and listen to the waves all night long.

I had never been on a horse before and was surprised with a sunset horse ride on the beach....simply amazing.  The food was fresh and my chicken tacos were loaded with fresh pineapple.

It was surreal to not log onto the Internet or use my phone for a whole mind and body feel relaxed and rejuvenated.  I know many of you work very hard and never take a day off; you MUST make time for your soul.

*Thanks to Kristine Ginsberg and Kathy Nielson for the heads up on Picnik's collage tool

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!! although we just moved from Seattle to the Midwest, I would much rather be there than here. But Puerto Vallarta literally sounds just as fantastic!! Congrats. We all have to get away from the daily grind and re-group, re-focus and re-charge for our lives.  :)

Looks like a great collage of vacation photos.  Love the one of the red toes and the waterfall.  That's a point of view I could get used to. Glad you had a great time.

SPF 110?!  You may as well stay inside.  I have NEVER in  my life wore any kind of sun protection lotion.

Love the sea-horse silhouette (so unique) , your painted toes and you on the horse on the beach - always wanted to do that but never had the chance - so jealous! Next time I'm in Mexico, I'm doing it!

Kerrie, I agree that it's nice to get away...just can't do it now...well don't want too...way too busy although I do have to go to Chicago next week to do a little home maintenance.  Anyway, Puerto Vallarta sounds nice, but the next time I go somewhere warm and sunny it's going to be it there.
