Kerrie ~ and he is such a fine example of a quiet reserved player who made the cut fastball famous. Truly someone to be in awe of!!

Kerrie, praise to great athletes who don't need the extra "illegal" boosts. He proofs that greatness can be achieved by working hard and dreaming big.

Great example of setting the highest of goals and reaching them.  Thanks for sharing, Kerrie.

I would be much happier for him if it had not been against my Twins!

He is an amazing athlete! And the laser-focus his position requires is as much mental as physical!  Kathy

I have to agree with Bill.  Although the Twins don't have much left to look forward to this year with all the injuries and their record. (The cat is back, BTW!)

This is an achievement that took a lot of time and dedication.

That's great news! Thanks for sharing it on ActiveRain. Since I rarely read the newspapers anymore, because I enjoy AR so much more, I don't think I would have known about him. Because of you, and your great story, I was inspired by an athlete who has passion, determination, good looks, strength, and confidence. What a great new Role Model for our kids.

I agree, NY has a lot to cheer about!

And thanks to you, Kerrie, AR members have a lot to cheer about because you're an excellent role model too!
