Kerrie's Blog: Thank You Pandora!

Thank You Pandora!

I was happy to receive the following email from Pandora today.

Before today, you were allowed only 40 hours of listening pleasure.  If you wanted to pay $0.99 you could keep listening for the rest of the month.  No longer is there a cap, thanks Pandora!

We all need a little music throughout the day and Pandora does a great job of supplying that for us here at HQs.  Devin really likes it when I put the Jewel station on.  He sits up a little taller and I can see him mouthing the words silently....ha...not!  Kelly likes the Janet Jackson station, it's a great mix of the upbeat old school tunes to keep our toes tapping. Niki is always asking for Slayer and Anne Murray...sorry Niki!

My favorites are the Kings of Leon station and also the Beatles.  A thumbs up on a song will have Pandora storing that selection for future rocking out sessions and a thumbs down on a song will be sure they dump it and not pierce your ears with that garbage again.

Ooooh it's almost Lady Gaga time....I like to give the office an after lunch pick me up!

Music moves my soul!  I hope it moves yours too!

Pretty cool. Looks like the model is changing (again) for a lot of sites. This is certainly a good change for the old purse.

Hi Kerri, There certainly is a generation gap, huh? Yikes ! I still listen to my music on my old iPhone ( already 2 years old and passé , (Dear Santa, Need new phone- phone home, please. ) and old Dolly P still sounds as good a person has a right too.  How antiquaited is that! Geez! LOL.

Great news, I love music in the office (but not Jewel). I remember that the licensing laws were changed and Pandora was almost shut down a few years ago, glad to know that things have improved for them. Pandora is great for the office, but also for soundtracks to holiday parties and events when you don't have time to put together a playlist.

I am a big supporter the music community which is why I also stream tunes from my favorite radio station - KEXP.org

Kerrie I guess I am one of the very few who don't use Pandora. I might have to look into it now. Thanks for sharing.

Kerrie, you play the best music in the office (thanks to Pandora of course).  Your playlist is much better than the infamous office DJing of Nick Beckley.  Turn up that Janet and Cher!!

Kerrie - I think Pandora made a smart move.  For many people, if there is a limit, they simply may go elsewhere and not return.

That is awesome news. I love Pandora but have not listened to it in a couple of months. This makes me want to tune in right now!

Kerrie, I love Pandora and every time I got to the 40 hour limit I just started up iTunes. I didn't know how much it was to play for the rest of the month. My fav station in Silversun Pickups. Good stuff
