I've been very patient all year while you hockey, football and basketball fans cheer on. And now my friends, the day has come.....All I can say is Gooooooo Yankees!!!! I'm so excited to start the season with a few new players. First game starts at 3:10 Eastern and we're up against the Rays. The Yanks are only coming to Seattle once this year, I feel gipped. But this may be the Summer I get to the new Yanks stadium once and for all.
Last year we may not have taken it all the way but there were some hot highlights:
Won the Eastern division of the American League!
Jeter became the 28th player, and first Yankee to reach 3,000 hits!
Mo became the top closer in baseball history!

Whether you're a baseball fan or not, a Yankee fan or not, let's play ball!!

It's easy rooting for a winner, year in and year out. Try rooting for the Seattle Mariners! =]
What a beautiful field Kerry! Wishing you and yours a wonderful Easter weekend!
Kerrie, I am no longer a fan of baseball. However, I am an fan of engaging in life! Play ball! GO YANKEES.
Happy Easter ... Have a wonderful weekend!
Kerrie...
As a native from Western Pennsylvania I have only two words for Yankees fans....
Bill Mazeroski!
It's going to be a great baseball season ...woo-hoo!
Kerrie, there are only 7 times of the year when I don't root for the Yankees and they are the 7 times they play the White Sox. Go Yankees!
Carrie,
I was lucky enough to take my son to NYC last summer and I got some great Yankees tickets on Stub Hub. I loved the Stadium, I love the Yankees. Go Yankees!
Sorry Guys
Phillies Here ! Go Phillies Go !
Kerrie, so just where does a gal from Seattle get to be a Yankee fan? Can't wait to hear that one.
I'm with Richard.
Kerrie - I haven't followed baseball in years but there is no doubt the Yankees are the most successful franchise in baseball history.
Juli - I was born in New York and the love of the Yankees was instilled in me at a very young age. I take a lot of heat for it out here but I don't care one bit!!
Kerrie, It's good to see baseball back again. Growing up in the South, I'm a Braves fan for about the last 35 years or so. Some years that's been great, other years not so much. Comes with being a fan. I have been to the previous Yankees Stadium with a trip up from Philly back in 1986 or 87. Interesting trip, and fans are as they can only be in NY :) Bill
I see the Yanks in last place....Just going to be a tough year!!
Kerrie the Yankees are my team also, but today was a disappointing Opener with Moe blowing the save, and losing the game.
I have tickets for the last series of the year in October against the Red Sox at the Stadium :)
Kerrie,
It's you and me as the most ardent Yankee supporters. Don't tell anyone, but the rest of them are jealous.
Rich
I had no idea that you were a baseball fan Kerrie.
Good luck this season.
I am a proud Yankee fan-It is America past down tradition
The boys of summer are definitely back. In tersting you are a Yankee fan. Me I went from the Dodgers toi the Mets to the braves. So I am I guess going steadily down hill
Kerrie - its good to stick with your team.... which is why Im sticking with the Texas Rangers! They might let us down yet again, but a true fan sticks it out through good times and bad.
Kerrie I love you... But I dislike the Yankees... I'm an Angels girl all the way... :)
Home Opener 3 Days Away Kerrie - We need some New York magic!
Ha Kerrie, didn't know you were born in NY so was I & i am a huge Yankee fan...did you see my blog on Joe DiMaggio? Yup, they are the one & only!
