Kerrie's Blog: Wordless Wednesday - Tiger Mountain

Wordless Wednesday - Tiger Mountain

This past weekend's activites included a very beautiful hike up Tiger Mountain.  Most of the people on the mountain decided to go one trail but my bro-in-law insisted we go another.  Halfway up I realized why the other, let's call them the smarter hikers went the other route; ours was pretty tough but beautiful nonetheless.

Sunshine in Seattle is something we never take for granted.

Kerrie -- you know you needed the challenge of that hike after all that time in the office.  Especially with the wonderful weather we have been blessed with recently.

We use to take and rent horses and ride to the top of tiger mountain. It's much easier! I am glad you had a great hike...

Kerrie,

Like you we never take sunshine for granted as we are nearing June gloom days,,,and we are being treated to magnificent sunshine, and so we are going out to lunch to sit outside.  Thanks for sharing that beautiful picture. A

Even in my area, we seldom complain about nice weather.  But once in a while, the dryness gets to much.

Looks to me like the sunshine is always seeking out Kerrie, not the other way around.

Ahhh, the road less traveled. It might be a tougher path to take. But it always seems worth the effort.

Kerrie - The halo/aura in your photo gives Tiger Mountain a mystical feel.  Some paths of most resistence are worth taking:-)

I'm sure it's a pleasant experience to see the sun shining after many days of overcast. Reminiscing over last weekend should make the anticipation of upcoming weekend events worthwhile. Happy hump day!

Another good reason to always be a leader and never be a follower.  You should have texted one of the Active Rain members and they would have guided you down the proper path.

Hi Kerrie,

Beautiful picture and the hike must have been great as the weather was nice. I like gradual trails so I don't realize I am climbing and then we run down. What fun. Thanks for sharing.

Never trust your brother-in-law!   :)

I like the way the sun rays break through the trees. Glad that you had some sun Kerrie.

Nino - They're ancinet Huckasucka trees.  Only Tiger Mountain hosts these beauties so you won't find anything on the internet about them.  Mother Earth is just amazing isn't she?

They are great trees. It would be cool to be in a forest like that. Thanks for sharing the photo  Kerrie
