Kerrie's Blog: Keeping it Fresh with Kristine Ginsberg

Keeping it Fresh with Kristine Ginsberg

This week's Keeping it Fresh is brought to you by Kristine Ginsberg.

Describe your style.

Classic with a little edge.

What outfit do you own that makes you feel invincible?

I have a black Ralph Lauren taffeta skirt and red blazer with Christian Louboutin Rolando black patent leather shoes – I feel like a million bucks when I wear it!

What is the biggest fashion faux pas you've made?

Worn shoes that were too high and couldn’t walk in them or forgot to cut the tags off something new - both really embarrassing!

What celebrity is your style doppelganger?

I have two: Jennifer Aniston – classy, relaxed and stylish and   Kate Middleton – always classy, chic while still showing off her fabulous body!

Best Fashion Advice?

Dress for your body type and play up your strengths. If you have great legs wear skirts or dresses. If you have sculpted arms wear sleeveless shirts. Know your body and highlight the positives instead of focusing on your flaws...but always wear age appropriate clothing. There's nothing worse than a woman over 40 wearing her daughter's clothes.

Kerrie - I'll admit I've worn shoes with too high of a heel.  They were great in the store, and they were beautiful on my feet and for being seen in, but the reality of actually walking in them was a nightmare.  Live and learn!!!

I think I will submit a photo and try this out!   LOL!  I feel like I just peeked inside the women's fitting room.  Blush.

I am afraid this style would not work well for me and the heels would kill my ankles!

My sense of fashion is "comfort" and I'm at the office in sneakers and a t-shirt.

Kerrie - it's sound so funny reading back my words, - I should have added "that I'd love to wear the same clothing as Jennifer and Kate", lol. I can't wait to see more photos and read other women's stories.  I'll have to ask Alexandra how she got used to wearing high heels for miles. I take two Advil and am good for 2 - 3 hours, tops. Thanks for starting and including me in this project; so much fun!

So true. Find your own style and wear it proudly. Accent the positives and try to minimize the negatives.

Okay, Kerrie, this is too cute. This is the first time I've stumbled onto this feature - glad I did. ( Found it on Facebook)

Kristine, you are so going  to have to give this nature loving woman a good makeover when I see you in September. Seriously, and you are going to have your work cut out for you...

Heels, ouch. I love the way they look, but get charlie horses at night when I wear them for too long...Lol. My style, "Pacific Northest Weather."  :)  I have to say I love the dress your age part...hate seeing women in clothes that are too young for's seriously not good.

My big ole size 13 feet don't look well in heels :)

Great advice from Kristine but honestly, way too old for Christian Laboutins-however, playing up my legs would probably be a good idea-it sure ain't my arms!
