Kerrie's Blog: 3 for 3 Success!!

3 for 3 Success!!

Well I'd call it a success for sure!  Bob Stewart and myself from AR teamed up with Eric Proulx from RealEstate.com for the first of (hopefully) many more 3 for 3 shows.  3 people discussing 3 different topics in a live Google+ Hangout.

Today's show had Bob teaching a bit about Facebook ads, a discussion on tricky language used to lure buyers to homes and an epic debate regarding how old a Community Manager really should be.

Many of you were witness to the extensive bantering from Eric regarding the upcoming debate.  I thank you for your trust in me and would love for you to take a peek at me schooling him.  He did great, held his own but as he points out I was much louder and informative on this subject.  When it comes to my members on AR, nothing is going to silence me!

Bob was in on the action although he was "pirating" around and snorkeling through some of it (you'll see what I mean).  I was in a padded room in case I had to get all Chuck Norris on anybody but no broken bones so all is good.  And we called the wonderful Sandy Nichols live on air to award her a $100 gift card just for listening in!

Grab the popcorn and get ready to laugh!  More to come for next Thursday's show!

Hey, I have to say that I wrote it down to attend & then didn't know how to join the discussion, group, find you guys! Yikes .... better leave instructions for people like me who are not familier with G+ as of yet.

I've heard that from more than one person so thank you for letting us know Lyn.  We can leave better instructions so all can join next week!

Hi Kerrie - That was really fun, and I hope you guys do it again and often. Bob's demo of Facebook ads blew me away with the ability to target so finely - now if we only knew more about who our buyers really were. And where can I get a pirate hat like Bob's?

Kerrie,

This is all very good stuff and I will come back later when I have more ime..

Kerrie, Kerrie, Kerrie, Anyone that watched this video would never enter that padded room with you when you're on a mission for ActiveRain.  If this was a boxing match poor Eric would have been face down on the mat, beaten and battered by your mighty verbal jabs that kept coming and coming.  Also, I had no idea that you were so good at math, but your backward calculation of Eric's topic related age of 12 was very impressive and well played.  ;-)

Your strong performance is clear evidence that you are The Perfect Community Manager, at whatever your age happens to be.

Obviously, as seen in the video, Bob is more than comfortable letting you take the lead while he quietly amuses himself and the rest of us.  I also thought that Eric did as good as any 20 year old could, and he seemed to have the maturity level of a much older 20 year old, perhaps even a 26 year old.  He is indeed a fine young man with a great smile, social skills and good connections.  He should do very well at RealEstate.com.

I was very glad to see Sandy win the 100 dollars and too bad for the other two that failed to answer your call.  Let that be a lesson to all of us.  When Kerrie calls, we better answer the phone.  Congratulations on winning the debate and best wishes always.

Lots of fun, keep them coming.  On a serious note I find your webinars very informative, so please keep holding them and record them so we can watch at anytime.

Kerrie:

I came in late and couldn't access the webinar.  Glad you are going to give better instructions for next weeks session.  Look forward to it.  And thanks for the video.

I'm gonna check out the video in a little bit, but right now I just started watching the movie, 'Paul'. Not sure if that is a mistake our not, maybe I will be back sooner rather than later.

No wonder Kerrie always gets so much done and looks so pretty. That padded room is softer on the head than that wall we are used to.

Will take some time to listen to 3 for 3.

So now I will go back to Social Media once again. It was very difficult for me to stay away from Facebook and likes - somehow I changed my habits but once again....

Ok, as long as I learn (and earn), I guess, I have to embrace the change.

Missed today - but will make sure not to miss the remaining ones (and I hope I will not have trouble following instructions...)

Dick - Arrrrrgh! :)

Richard - Thank you so much!  Your comment had me laughing and nodding along right with you!

Jason - "Poor Eric"...I think not!

Richie - How do you think we could make it better?  Any ideas?  As our first one ever we were kind of testing the whole concept out to see how it would go down and it feels like a success but there is much room for improvement.

Kerrie the Merrie

Make it fun and keep it fun (anti-serious) while promoting a theme that people can see and relate to if they want to. There are no ends to the vast subject matters to explore. All involved (you guys) have the savvy, talent and skills to make this as good as you want and take it where you want to go too. You also have a willing audience which translates to a type of support.

I find people anywhere acting out their points and authorities using amusing as a teaching tools...... like Aesop, Mother Goose and Grimm's fairy tales did who told their stories and made their points while holding my attention willingly very productive learning experiences. The moral of those stories were introduced in an entertaining, light format. Disney took it to new heights clearly entertaining while teaching. Remember the Mickey Mouse club? Singing, dancing, preaching, teaching, and your sad when it all ended too .

I also recall the first traffic school that came out called comedy traffic school. It was booked. WHY? No one wanted to be in traffic school to begin with, but had too to attend. Furthermore, they had to pay a fee...but what if the person having to attend could get something that was meaningful for them for all this time and the trouble? Comedy fit the bill for this tragic circumstance. The school laughed, the people who had to attend laughed and the court was happy too...win win win...and love in the air? Sounds like a place to hang out

ActiveRain and all in contains has a proven format and foundation...Take this success anywhere you want it to go and you too will have FUN FUN FUN TILL YOUR DADDY TAKES THE TBIRD AWAYYYYY
