Kerrie's Blog: Wordless Wednesday - Alex & His Cookie

Wordless Wednesday - Alex & His Cookie

My nephew Alex is in town from Texas and I had the treat of watching him for a bit last night.  Now he didn't eat all his dinner but he did find room to finish the giant ice cream cookie sandwich.  Go figure!

Kerrie,  Just what I needed to see this morning .... the look on Alex's face .... precious and priceless.  It looks like he is thinking ... Auntie Kerrie, of course I have room for this yummy ice cream .... its why I did not eat all of my dinner. I wanted to make sure I had room for this!

That's what Aunt's are suppose to do with nephews.....spoil them rotten and then send them back to their parents.... glad you got to enjoy your little Texan.

Haha. Isn't it funny how they always seem to have an appetite for something like that - but not dinner? You're a good Auntie and I'll bet he loves to come to your house. ;)

What an adorable little boy he is,  You are always supposed to leave room for dessert, he knows the rules, or better yet, eat dessert first. LOL.  Happy Wednesday, A

I remember being in a minivan with a family and their son while showing homes.  Mom popped out and got her and the son (I declined) an ice cream sandwich.  It was an M&M ice cream sandwich.  This young man, four years old, picked off all the M&M's and ate them.  Didn't care at all about the ice cream or the cookies.  Your nephew is at least an ice cream sandwich fan and doesn't let the good stuff go to waste.

Cute picture Kerrie, Alex knows that nice Aunt Kerrie will let him get away with ice cream cookies instead of dinner.  He might not want to go home.

Kerrie I could be wrong but he looks like he has one eye on the cookie and one on you.  Kind of like he had to protect  that cookie from Auntie Kerrie

Hi Kerrie - Kids always know what's worth eating - you probably tried to feed him something nutritious for dinner, but he looks pretty happy now.

Kerri I love the picture, my kind of man, as I love desserts too!  I loved seeing the Marilyn plate, I collect her signature wine bottles, and after ten years, I can't wait to see the latest!

Kerri he is a cutie.  My daughter when she was that age always said she had two stomachs. She would get full quickly and would not finish dinner, however, her dessert stomach was never full.

How old is he? Our youngest granddaughter is 4 1/2 and she ALWAYS has room for dessert! She'll tell us she's full, then she'll ask for dessert!

Kerrie, it may sound to some like there's something wrong with saving room for dessert. In our family ice cream is as much a part of the meal as mashed potatoes!
