Kerrie's Blog: The Rain Bucket - 3.13.14

The Rain Bucket - 3.13.14

What a week!  This daylight savings time change has set everyone in a better mood.  I feel like people are friendlier, more neighbors are out in the community walking dogs and holding is good!

Life is good for some special Rainers this week too.  I found some amazing talented people that I just have to share with you all.  If you find yourself highlighted anywhere, please email me so I'm aware. And don't forget to submit your Tax Break posts to our Trulia Contributor Program

Our very own 'Photoshop King of ActiveRain' Craig Rutman, was listed on BuzzFeeds's 20 Photos of Real Estate Agents That Can't Be Real.  If you know Craig (and if you don't do yourself a favor and get to know him) you know his creativity and imagination runneth over.  He is constantly photoshopping himself in new ways to cleverly attract business in the Raleigh/Cary/Apex area.  I've met him and we've kept in touch over the years; he is a true gem.  Check out the comments on the BuzzFeed article, the people have spoken and they love you Craig!

Melissa Zavala's post on Running a Paperless Office was highlighted on Inman this week as well as the Real Trends newsletter. Her post was written 2 months ago but the subject at hand was something the industry was looking for and graciously highlighted Melissa and her expertise.  Congrats M!

A post from 2009 was linked to this week via Polyvore just hover your mouse over the leprechaun chilling on the couch. Katerina & Nestor Gasset's St Patrick's Clip Art for Blogs post is 5 years old. This just goes to show the relevancy these type of holiday posts continue to hold long after they're written.

Curtis Van Carter's Finally, Freddie Mac to allow e-signatures post is 2 years old and just this week was highlighted on  Way to go in getting recognized CVC.  Your post is informative and collecting many views this past week!

Congratulations Rainers!!
Let it Rain!!

Thank you, Kerrie, for including me on this list. It means a lot to be part of AR, and all that I have learned from you guys and from all of the other members is obviously paying off bigtime!

It's amazing to see how long the shelf life is for blog posts.  Glad to see Active Rain members recognized for all of their hard work or in Craig's case for his sense of humor.

Wow, I have to tell you something funny about reading your post.  I meant to give it a quick glance and clicked on the BuzzFeed link to funny agent pics.  It was hilarious so it prompted me to share it, which lead to clicking on other links, etc.  Anyway, about an hour later I was thinking, what happened to AR?  It took me a minute to re-trace my clicking to remember what happened.  Talk about a total web-browsing black hole. All from your post! :)

Whether BuzzFeed was mocking me or actually liked my little silly pics, I could care less! My web site traffic tripled on the day that article was posted, three people signed up to receive home searches, and two people called me for more information! So, thank you BuzzFeed for proving, once again, that all press is good press!

Kerrie, thanks for posting the happenings in Real Estate for the week.  Daylight savings time is sometimes a challenge for some people but in a few days they are all back to normal.  You get to see and is able to connect with quite a few neighbors who is out walking or even just sitting out and enjoying the evening.  It is a beautiful time as SPRING is in the air.

Love the topic here!  Amazing how ActiveRainers become our own right lol

There was a newspaper article that The Garden Island (Kauai) did on Labor Day....Teri Eckholm and I were featured as bloggers for ActiveRain and gave our input on Labor Day and the difference celebrating in Minnesota and Hawaii. (September of 2007!) We were celebrities!
